When does my rent guarantee come into effect ?
Your guarantee is activated as soon as you receive your rent deposit certificate.

How long does it take for the certificate to arrive?
Your application is processed immediately. As soon as we receive your application form and proof of payment, we will draw up your certificate and send it by express mail. Normally, you should receive your certificate the next day.

Can I cancel my guarantee?
Yes, you can cancel your guarantee at any time without charge. All you have to do is provide your landlord with an equivalent guarantee.

Is the SmartCaution guarantee accepted by all property management companies ?
SmartCaution issues guarantees only to partner management companies. If your property management company does not work with SmartCaution, contact us on 0842 102 102. We will get in touch with the company immediately.

What happens when I leave my apartment ?
When you move, you have to return your rent guarantee certificate to us, filled in and signed by the landlord, to enable us to release the guarantee.
You can also subscribe for a new guarantee with SmartCaution for the place you are moving to.
In this regard, you could try contacting your third party liability insurer. It may assume liability for the damage.

Oh no! My rent deposit is already in escrow with a bank…
No problem. You can get the whole principal amount back at any time by subscribing for the SmartCaution rent guarantee.
