The amount is between 25 CHF.- and 120 CHF.- This contribution covers the tenant until December 31 of the current year. This contribution must be paid in advance, before 1 January of the year concerned.
When you move, you must ensure that the agency returns the completed and signed deposit certificate to release the guarantee. You can also take out a new guarantee for your future residence. If your landlord has claims against you and you are unable to pay the sum requested, SmartCaution may advance the amount due, which you will then have to repay in full. As such, remember to contact your liability insurer who could take care of the damages.
You can recover your cash at any time by subscribing the SmartCaution SA rental guarantee.
